Bus Stop Evaluation Program: #46 Tesson Ferry and #75 Lilac Hanley

We are coming to the end of October, but don’t tell St. Louis. Between the unseasonably warm weather and the red-hot Cardinals baseball, fall is just not the right word for this autumn in STL. This unseasonably warm October Monday, please review the following list of evaluated stops for the #46 Tesson Ferry and #75 Lilac Hanley.

Please note: none of the routes listed are being eliminated, but your feedback on specific stops is encouraged and greatly appreciated. Below is the new list of proposed MetroBus stops under consideration for removal for the following routes:

#46 Tesson Ferry

#75 Lilac Hanley

These stops are being proposed for elimination as part of Metro’s Bus Stop Evaluation Program to make the system more efficient and faster.

Please submit your comments for the #46 Tesson Ferry and #75 Lilac Hanley by Monday, November 14, 2011.

Please submit your comments for the #1 Gold and #17 Oakville by Monday, November 7, 2011.

Please submit your comments for the #27 North County Shuttle and #73 Carondelet by Monday, October 31, 2011.

NS – Nearside of the street-before you cross the street
FS – Farside of the street-after you cross the street
MB – Midblock after the street midway down

    I have been a metro-bus/metrolink rider since I moved to St. Louis in 2005. I take the bus to work every day. I work in shrewsbury and catch the #46 going northbound towards Shrewsbury Station every day at a stop on Laclede Station Rd. I would hate for these stops to be eliminated. While, there is another bus I can catch, this stop is much safer, as I have to cross traffic in order to get to the other bus stop. Please consider my comments…

      Katrina, can you please tell me which cross street you catch the #46 on? I will email you so you do not have to broadcast your stop publicly.

    The cutting down the #75 from Clayton/Florrisant to the Lilac/North Hanley was really stupid. The downside to the route which caused it to have low ridership was the lack of publicity. I rode it when I would be doing my work at the airport. I would board in Clayton and head straight to N. Hanley. Plus with that line, tourists could have ridden it without having to put up with the nonsense from the unruly idiots that live near the #47 line. Now since there is no more service, traffic on the Innerbelt is horrible.

      Do you use that stop Jill? It helps to explain to the planners the reason for keeping the stop.
